Nixxes Studio, known for their expertise in bringing titles to PC, has recently rolled out the eighth major update for the computer version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. They have also published the comprehensive update log detailing all the changes implemented in this patch.

Crucially, this eighth update significantly enhances performance particularly within the game’s more densely forested areas, aiming to provide smoother gameplay experiences in these visually rich environments. Furthermore, the update has successfully addressed a persistent flickering issue that players encountered specifically with character hair when utilizing Ray Reconstruction (RR) technology. With this fix now included, players should feel more confident activating NVIDIA’s RR technology to enjoy improved graphical fidelity without that visual distraction.

This latest update introduces several noteworthy visual improvements. For instance, the transitions between wet and dry textures on Spider-Man‘s suit now render more smoothly, eliminating the previous pixelation artifacts. Moreover, it successfully resolves an issue where some AMD users might encounter distracting rainbow pixelation when ray tracing features are turned on.

The game’s stability has also received further crucial enhancements. This particular patch, representing the eighth update released for the PC version, specifically addresses a notable crash issue that could occur when exiting the game during intense vehicle chase sequences. Additionally, it fixes a bug that might render the mouse cursor unresponsive for players after canceling the character switch pop-up window.

The PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 initially launched in January 2025, a release that was perceived by some as somewhat rushed. Since then, the development team at Nixxes Studio has been diligently working to identify and address various technical issues reported by players. As a direct result of these ongoing efforts, this latest update is anticipated to significantly enhance the overall gaming experience on the PC platform, offering a more polished and stable performance.
