Falcom has recently announced that the enhanced edition of “Ys X,” named “Ys X -Proud NORDICS-,” is set to release on the Nintendo Switch 2 platform on July 31, 2025.

The recently announced Enhanced Edition builds significantly upon the foundation of the original game. It introduces a host of new features, aiming to offer players a richer and more expansive experience. These include fresh storylines, expanded maps, new Mana actions, challenging arenas, and an enigmatic new maze. Additionally, two new playable characters, named Canute and Astrid, have been officially unveiled, hinting at their roles in the added content.
Meanwhile, Falcom also shared exciting news in a separate announcement concerning their acclaimed “Ys” series. Two fan-favorite entries, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana and Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, are officially set to debut on the PlayStation 5 console. Furthermore, another celebrated title from the series, Ys: Memories of Celceta, is scheduled for its official release on the Nintendo Switch. Players can look forward to its arrival on May 22, expanding the availability of the series on different consoles.
