Set as a prequel to the acclaimed Mafia series, Mafia: The Old Country transports players back to early 20th century Sicily.
This setting provides a rich historical and cultural backdrop for the narrative.
Players will delve deep into the intricate workings of the mafia world within the fictional town of San Celeste.
To significantly enhance cultural immersion and capture the era’s atmosphere, the game offers full voice acting in several languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Czech, and Russian.
Notably, authentic Sicilian voice acting has been specifically included to provide a genuine regional ambiance and bolster the historical accuracy of the unfolding mafia story.
Regarding gameplay structure, the president of developer Hangar 13 recently shared in a press release that the upcoming title will adopt a more linear approach.
This creative decision aims to return to the roots of the beloved franchise, promising a meticulously crafted linear narrative experience.
The intention is to authentically capture the compelling essence and dramatic storytelling characteristic of classic gangster films.
